Jungle Energy Power expands cross-border grid coverage

The Nimba County Grid now serves communities from Loguatuo at the Ivory Coast border through to Saclepea, drawing power from Ghana's Akosombo Dam.

Jungle Energy Power (JEP), Jungle Water Group's electricity distribution business, continues to expand reliable service across Nimba County.

Operating under the West Africa Power Pool, JEP transmits electricity generated from the Akosombo (Volta) Dam in Ghana, crossing the Ivorian grid and terminating in Liberia. The service now reaches Ganta, Gbarnga, Bahn, Sanniquellie, Saclepea, and Karnplay.

The project represents one of Liberia's most significant cross-border infrastructure achievements, bringing consistent power to homes, schools, and businesses that previously relied on intermittent supply.
